Math Class
Welcome to Grade 8 Math!
This year we are going to be reviewing that basics of what you should already know, BEDMAS anyone?
Put on your thinking caps and try to remember what you've already done so that we can build on it and learn new things. Math can make sense and it does have everyday applications, just wait and see.

What we have going on and on going
We are going to drive into the world of numbers. Everyday, everywhere we see numbers and we think that we know what they actually mean, but we're going to finally get to the bottom of it.
Don't be afraid to learn new things and definitely don't be afraid to ask questions.
Be prepared to be challenged and make sure to come prepared with a sharp pencil and mind!

Circles, Circles, Circles, they are all around us - we are going to dive deeper into the shape of the circle, they actually make for a nice pool. Circles will introduce us to some new terms; radius, diameter and circumference. It can seem overwhelming to learn new words and to try to remember what they mean, but trust me you can do it! With our study of circles we will grow into a further understanding and application of Area and Volume, keep your eyes open and pick up any tips we come across along the way.
